My story isn’t very long, or very complicated. I’m twenty-three years old, and have lived in a handful of states in the north eastern United States. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was ten years old with my mother and younger sister. My mom was baptized in Pennsylvania, and my sister and I were baptized in Connecticut.

Although I was baptized at a young age, I remember what it felt like to realize that I had been missing something huge. I knew Jesus Christ, and loved the Lord, but once the missionaries came by with a copy of the Book of Mormon and firm testimonies of the truth of the Gospel, I realized that there was something more.

It’s been a long road, but I’m that much more grateful to have the Gospel in my life and am excited to be able to share the rest of my journey with you, including attending Southern Virginia University and living in an LDS environment, as well as serving an LDS mission in San Fernando, California for eighteen months, and life in general.

I’m your typical twenty-something: I love being creative, adventuring, spending time with friends and family, wasting time on Instagram, reading good books, fooling around in the kitchen, and figuring out life along the way.

A Peculiar Girl is a way for me to share what has blessed me the most in my life. I’ve always felt that if you have something amazing – share it.
